Surprise: Dell Streak 7 to sell for 200$ with contract, 450$ without one

If you remember, Dell is one of the few manufacturers who managed to bring a tablet in 2010, in their case the Dell Streak 5, an awkward 5 inch tablet which gained little momentum. They're now ready for the second generation, called Dell Streak 7, which is obvious a 7 inch tablet with similar specs as the first one, but with one important change: the Tegra 2 chipset that promises significant performance gains.

Dell Streak 7 just got announced. It’s a powerful 7 inch tablet

Last year's Dell Streak tablet was an unimpressive product that has failed to catch public attention, and the biggest reason for that was the 5 inch form factor, not big enough for a tablet and too large for a smartphone. I'm glad that Dell realized that as it just officially announced the Dell Streak 7, a 7 inch tablet with lot of 'talent' behind it. We knew about it a few weeks ago, but now it's time to take a look at the specs, the ones that are setting apart the Streak 7 from the normal Streak, which by the way, should have been called Dell Streak 5.

Dell is already working on the commerctial for the Streak 7

We've told you about Dell's plans to launch a 7 inch tablet and then a 10 inch model as followup to the first 5 inch Streak. We now have confirmation of the 7 inch tablet, simply called Dell Streak 7, as Engadget got a hold on the blueprints of the TV commercial that will introduce the 7 inch Android public to consumers. As you can expect, since there are no significant differences between the 5 and 7 inch model, the commercial focuses on the screen size, which is said to be perfect this time for gaming, browsing and other meaningless tasks.
