LG Electronics (LG) extends its glasses-free 3D monitor lineup with the 25-inch DX2500, which incorporates glasses-free parallax barrier 3D and head-tracking technologies. With the DX2500, LG becomes the first in the industry to receive TÜV Rheinland certification for a glasses-free 3D monitor.

Toshiba Corporation today unveiled "dynabook Qosmio T851/D8CR", the world's first glasses-free 3D notebook PC able to display 3D and 2D content at the same time on one screen. The new PC will be available in the Japanese market from late July.

Hasbro's My3D Goggles Bring 3D To iPhone And iPod Touch

You know 3D's taking off when something like this happens. Hasbro is a company more commonly seen in the toy lanes at your local shopping mart, but they're jumping on the 3D bandwagon as well. They've just launched the My3D, a 360-degree handheld viewer for iPhone and iPod touch. It's a lot like those viewers you used to used as a kid, and it provides "3D" to devices without 3D screens. Apple hasn't placed an actual 3D display on their iDevices, but with a little help from the viewer and some specialized content, a 3D effect can still be had. But here's the real question: will people seriously carry around a My3D goggle set in order to "enjoy 3D" on their iPhone?

Panasonic And XPAND 3D Team Up On Glasses Standard

While 3D has obviously exploded in recent months, one thing that has been left in the dust is universal support and compatibility. With everyone taking 3D and running with it, we've been left with a lot of fragmentation in the market, with some sets supporting active, and others passive. And that's just the start. But regardless of the differences that are adding pain points today, Panasonic and XPAND 3D are hoping to help. Those two companies have today announced that they have formulated M-3DI, a new standard for 3D active-shutter eyewear products that will bring about compatibility among 3D TVs, computers, home projectors and cinema projection.

V3 Move 3DS: 3D Gaming at Its Smallest, and Finest

At $1099 (as of November 23, 2010), the V3 Move 3DS sits in a precarious position. It's too pricey to rank as a budget desktop, despite being saddled with a relatively dinky Core i3 processor. And despite its stellar gaming performance (more on that in a bit), a comparatively paltry WorldBench 6 score leaves V3's cube fumbling around the middle of the mainstream desktop pack. But if you're sold on 3D gaming, or if you need a speedy, portable rig to haul to your next LAN session, V3's Move 3DS is a compelling option.
