A 90 second video of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime has been posted on Youtube running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The video was posted by Nvidia, who told PCMag that the device was just an early demo of the final product, although the tech website appeared to be pleasantly surprised by the 1080p video playback and how the quad core version of Riptide GP performed.
The tablet, which is set to be launched in a couple of weeks time, was presented earlier this month.
It is a follow-up to the popular Eee Pad Transformer but improves on a number of features. It comes with a Tegra 3 quad-core Cortex A9 monster clocked at 1.4GHz with 12-core Geforce GPU.
It also has a better eight-megapixel camera with a large f2.4 aperture and LED flash, Asus' own SonicMaster audio technology and bumped-up onboard storage of 32GB.
The company will apparently continue to manufacture the Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet with the docking accessory - which transforms it into a fully fledged laptop costing a rather expensive $149.
We'd be surprised if Asus doesn't release a Windows 8 version of the Eee Pad Transformer Prime next year, which would be an elegant, more versatile alternative to the UX Series.
