Asus U43SD laptop brings Sandy Bridge with a touch of bamboo

Asus' Bamboo laptops collection is up for an update and updated it will get as soon as the U43SD 14-inch model comes out to play. This new laptop features smoky brown bamboo plates on the display cover and palm rest and is powered by Intel's Huron River platform.

Weighting in up to 2.14 kg, the U43SD features a an LED-backlit (1366 x 768) display, a Core i3-2310M or i5-2410M processor, up to 8GB of RAM, a maximum of 750GB in storage space, a GeForce GT 520M 1GB graphics card, a 5-in-1 card reader, a 2.0 megapixel webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, optional Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 3.0 connectivity, plus a HSMI output and a 6- or 8-cell battery.

Asus' yet unpriced and undated bamboo-enhanced machine runs Windows 7 and comes with Syncables software for 'effortless syncing with a plethora of devices, including desktop PCs, other notebooks, smartphones and digital cameras'.
