Solar-Powered Soulra XL iPhone/iPod Docking Audio System Touted by Eton

The idea of an audio system designed to be used mostly on outdoors camping trips and, for this reason, being both solar-powered and fairly rugged, seems to be quite an interesting one, and that's exactly the type of product the people over at Eton are touting with their brand-new Soulra XL audio system that, beside the features mentioned above, also docks the iPod and iPhone.

As ChipChick informs us, the Soulra XL's centerpiece is represented by its 72-square inch enhanced monocrystal solar panel, that manages to deliver quite a serious amount of power to the system's rechargeable Li-Ion batteries since, beside being able to play music through its built-in stereo speakers, this thing will also be able to charge the batteries of a docked iPhone or iPod.

Moreover, since we've tackled the topic of speakers, we'll also have to mention that the portable audio system from Eton comes equipped with 8 speaker drivers ( 2x tweeters, 2x woofer, 4x passive radiator), that combine to deliver an overall 20W of audio with bass boost.

Moreover, the Eton Soulra XL audio system also sports a carrying strap, so that users will be able to take in along from one location to the next, as well as a remote control for easier control from a distance (which could really come in handy when used on a picnic or some other type of outdoors trip).

Unfortunately, pricing and availability details for the new solar-powered device from Eton have not yet been provided, so we're not really sure whether the company will ultimately roll it out on the market or not, but we really hope that will be the case, given the fact that this thing will most likely prove to be hugely popular with people who actually love spending a lot of time outside.
